The two brand's revisit the previous with new colors.
adidas has tapped the likes of the Coca-Cola Company for a collaborative take on the revisited silhouette, the Climacool 1, giving us the Coca-Cola x adidas Climacool 1.
The adidas Climacool was introduced in 2002, when the Herzog-based sportswear company's focus went even more to innovation, under the helm of Herbert Hainer and created a shoe that allowed extra air flow and delivered maximum ventilation. Earlier this year, the silhouette was re-introduced as the Climacool 1 and launched in four colorways. Just months after it's comeback, the Three Stripes Brand will be paired with the world's largest soft drink company.
The Coca-Cola x adidas Climacool 1 comes dressed in Coke-red upper while utilizing Gold for the accents landing on the lining, branding and partially on the laces. Coca-Cola branding can be seen on the heel as well as on the insole juxtaposed with a soccer ball, referencing adidas' significant contribution to FIFA’s aim to develop football all over the world.
UPDATE: adidas and Coca-Cola's collaborative Climacool 1 venture will get two new colorways for the Summer. Staying aligned with the previously introduced Coke-red color theme, the new pairs will be featured in a Black and a Metallic Silver color theme. The Black pair sits on a White sole as the Metallic Silver sit atop of a black sole while both featuring Red detailing throughout. Scroll below for a closer look and look for the news coloways to start arriving at adidas Original retailers the first week of June.
