Both pairs release next weekend.
Ronnie Fieg's KITH took to Instagram to unveil their upcoming ASICS collaboration, the ASICS GEL-Lyte 3 and the ASICS GEL-Lyte 3.1 which will pay tribute to the KITH's 5th Anniversary.
You may remember the Ronnie Fieg x ASICS 'Super Green' GEL-Lyte 3 from 2013. The edition originally debuted as a charity release, in efforts to raise funds for the victims of the Haiti Earthquake.
The GEL-Lyte 3 is expected to drop in its original form, consisting of nubuck upper construction with light grey wrapping the toe box and charcoal grey dressing the rest of the silhouette. 'Super Green' ASICS branding can be seen along the side panel as well as the heel tab while a debossed "V" with "KITH" overlaying it also lands on the heel, signifying KITH's 5th Anniversary.
Ronnie Fieg's GEL-Lyte 3 will re-release alongside a brand new model dubbed the ASICS GEL-Lyte 3.1 which will also debut in the 'Super Green' colorway. Keeping the same aesthetic as the GEL-Lyte 3, the 3.1 will feature an all black nubuck upper with 'Super Green' highlights landing on the toe cap. As we noted before, the ultimate difference is the visible GEL cushioning which can be seen on the midsole of the 3.1. Fieg had stated that, after the release of the 3.1 the model will go back in the ASICS archives and will never release again.
