Paying tribute to a cultural past-time.
Japanese brick and mortars have teamed up for an cultural collaboration dubbed the, BEAMS x Mita x ASICS Tiger GEL-LYTE III "Souvenir Jacket."
The roots of the Souvenir Jacket, or Sukajan in Japanese, can be traced back to American soldiers stationed in the Pacific Theater following the end of World War II.
BEAMS and Mita have adopted the aesthetic of the cultural past-time. The ASICS Tiger GEL-LYTE III "Souvenir Jacket" features a sleek Black nylon quilted upper with Black suede landing on the side panels. Additional detailing includes, embroidered Japanese characters on the heel, with a tiger landing on the opposite heel. Completing the look is camo print landing on the insole and outsole.

UPDATE: While overseas got to see the BEAMS x Mita x ASICS Tiger GEL-LYTE III "Souvenir Jacket" release last month, the states will be seeing a release of July 9th at select ASICS retailers, including Premier, with the price tag set at $140 USD.
