Making a bigger appearance than it did in '08.
The Nike Hyperdunk has always underwent a few changes since it stepped on the scene in 2008. The shoe boasted Nike's new Flywire, making the innovation a must have on every basketball silhouette after. Through various editions the Nike Hyperdunk has proven to hold up against time, which usually comes annually or in sync with an Nike prospect or event. This go round, Nike will be upgrading its the Hyperdunk silhouette with a new edition dubbed the Nike Hyperdunk Lux, which is expected to release in its 2008 retro fashion as well as traditional release for the Lux edition.
The Hyperdunk Lux features a different aesthetic than we have seen before. While carrying its traditional basketball roots, we see a combination of leathers throughout. As you can see, a distinctive woven leather hits the side panels while patent leather lands on the toe box and runs through the eyelets and collar. The last touch is a smooth premium leather settling on the mudguard.
As of now there are only two editions, a Black /White and a White / White. The Black version features a predominant black upper atop a White midsole while the latter features an all wWhite construction resting atop a Gum outsole.
UPDATE: Following our first-look at the the new Nike Hyperdunk Lux, we now get a detailed shot at both Black and White color schemes. View additional images below and let us know your thoughts on this Hyperdunk Lux edition.
