Last week Ronnie Fieg announced that he and ASICS will join forces once again for KITH's 5th Anniversary. The efforts will include the re-release of the GEL-Lyte III “Super Green,” which originally released in 2013, as well as the highly anticipated GEL-Lyte 3.1.
Today, we get our first look at the latter, the ASICS GEL-Lyte 3.1, featuring a Gel Cushioning system, which ultimately setting it apart from the GEL-Lyte 3. The silhouette comes sporting a black nubuck upper with perforations on the side panel and toe box where hints of "Super Green" can also be seen. Mesh makes its way to the collar and tongue which is finished off with black laces to complete the look.
As it looks, the ultimate difference between the GEL-Lyte 3 and the GEL-Lyte 3.1 is the midsole units. Fieg tweeted last week, "After the three 3.1's release they go away forever." Stay tuned for more information surrounding the ASICS x Ronnie Feig GEL-Lyte 3.1.
