The Air Jordan XXXI "Banned" will be first of many colorways to continue Michael Jordan and the Jordan Brand legacy. The design and which takes from the sneaker that started it all, the "Banned" Air Jordan 1. This "Banned" Air Jordan XXXI is expected to drop along side the aforementioned predecessor on September 3rd.

While gearing up for its Fall debut, Jordan Brand unveiled the first ad for the "Banned" Air Jordan XXXI at the ESPYS, while carrying the slogan "Define Gravity." The 2016 ad is a clear nod to the 1985 ads that started off the remarkable sneaker legacy. A legacy that cost Nike $5,000 fines. Watch belowAir Jordan XXXI "Banned" Details
What is also known as the "Bred" edition, the Air Jordan XXXI "Banned" comes dressed in the popular Black, Red and White color scheme, with both Jumpman and Nike branding. Looking closer, you will see the construction takes on several materials throughout the one piece upper with light Flyweave making up the forefoot of the silhouette while transitioning to supportive synthetic leather. The shoe is boasted to be the first Jordan model to don Jumpman, wings and Swoosh branding all-in-one. As you can see, Jumpman branding lands on the lateral sides near the heel while the Nike Swoosh hints through the herringbone Flyweave patterning on the side panels. The wings can be found on the medial sides of the silhouette under the collar. Finishing off the look is a full-length Zoom Air unit, done with a White midsole atop a Red sole that reads emblazoned with "Banned" on the bottom.Air Jordan XXXI "Banned" Release Date
The Air Jordan XXXI "Banned," or "Bred" edition will release on September 3rd at select Jordan Brand retailers, with the price tag set at $185 USD. If you're thinking that it is a little soon for the XXXI to release, you're absolutely right.
