Inspired by the top three Air Jordan 1s.
A few months ago, there were a lot of talk of an Air Jordan 1 that would hit the market sporting popular color schemes from the iconic silhouette dubbed the, "What the" Air Jordan 1. Images did start to surface, however, there was an instant backlash being the image was noticeably photoshopped – featuring shades that didn't reference Michael Jordan, his career nor previous color themes of the model such as forest greens and shades of gold.
Today, more images have surfaced but with confirmation from Jordan Brand that an Air Jordan 1 "What the" will be hitting Jordan Brand retailers this holiday season. The "What the" edition showcases three popular colorways of the grail including the Air Jordan 1 “Royal”, Air Jordan 1 “Shadow” and Air Jordan 1 “Bred” all into one silhouette. The model will feature leather uppers atop a rubber outsole but if you look closely, you can see suede or nubuck on the wing panel near the collar.
